We are cups, constantly and quietly being filled. The trick is, knowing how to tip ourselves over and let the beautiful stuff out. ” Ray Bradbury

Hi I am Kyla, a Rhode Island based artist and secondary art educator. I studied ceramics and art education and earned a BFA in Art Education with a major in ceramics. I went back to earn a masters degree in art education with a focus in 2D design.

I took up tufting in 2020, intrigued by videos on instagram and images on Pinterest. I learned from helpful teachers on YouTube and have been exploring ever since! I dabble in watercolor, embroidery and sewing and up-cycling garments.

I love animals, plants, my family and exploring different techniques and mediums. I enjoy making one of a kind pieces or small sets and collections. I do not have the attention span or will power to mass produce. I am always inspired by color.

I work in my studio at home and also take over many other spaces as well. Many thanks to my husband and kids : )

I am inspired by color, nature, abstract art, and textiles.
